• Question: why does water make your skin wrinkly

      What a fun question! My whole life I was told it was because of osmosis (the balance between salt and water in a cell), but it turns out that it is so much more than that. They actually think that it is our body going into “fight or flight” mode, the mode is which the body does what it thinks is best to survive. That the wrinkles allow us to grip on to things more easily. How neat!

      water makes your skin wrinkly such as being in a bath too long. this is because, over exposure to water causes skin vessel to shrink which cause the rigid appearance on your fingertips. this is like the tread on car tyres which act ac a grip. Scientist have shown that these ridges that are formed act in a similar way and help with grip
