      The future looks very bleak for the great barrier reef. One of it’s biggest threats is actually climate warming, and the warming is already happening. What we can do is work towards reducing the warming to only 1.5 degC on average globally. This involves global cooperation. Even if we accomplish this (which is unlikely), the reef will still be influenced by pollution as you say.
