Question: Are dogs wolves?

Great question! I read in Man Meets Dog by Konrad Lorenz (Nobel prize) that they are actually a crossing between wolves and jackals, with different breeds having different portion of one or the other (which affects their behavioural tendencies: more jackal is more affectionate, more wolf is more faithful to one owner). Not sure if this is still the current accepted opinion on this. This is a great book though for all dogs/animals lovers, see if you can find it at the library/second hand online. Greatly recommended!
