Sorry, I don’t know much about medicine. I guess you follow a medical degree at University, and specialise during your last years of study? Best to ask a medical doctor 🙂

So I’m not a medical doctor but this website tells you all about how to be a doctor in a hospital, which includes paediatric (child doctors): https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/hospital-doctor

To become a hospital doctor, you must complete:
-a degree in medicine, recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
-a two-year foundation programme of general training
-specialist training in a chosen area of medicine.

Medical degrees are competitive so to help your application you would also need work experience in a caring or health environment (e.g. hospitals, GP practices, hospices and care homes) before applying for the degree course. This is to show that you have an understanding of what working in medicine is like and that you appreciate the emotional and physicals demands, as well as the skills required.

This link may also help you. It’s all about being a Children’s nurse but it is specific to children when the above is more focused on all hospital doctors. https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/childrens-nurse

You would study for a medical degree. So start by studying science and maths at school and take it from there! Good luck!
