      Hi Jamie, that’s a very interesting question.
      First we need to distinguish between the South Pole (Antarctica) and the North Pole (the Arctic). It is currently thought that the Arctic is most at risk of climate change, and has already changed considerably over the recent past. The “sea ice” (seasonal ice forming on the ocean) in the Arctic may have approximately halved in the next 40 years based on computer modelling.
