Question: why do you talk to fishermen?

It’s very important for me to speak with a range of people that use or care for the marine environment. This includes fishermen. I am currently working on developing a tool (an app like you have on a mobile phone) that will calculate the health of a marine habitat, which is dependent on the type of fishing activity which happens there. Therefore, I gain a lot of information by talking to fishermen. It’s also good to let fishermen know about the work I’m doing, as they also care about the marine environment.
